Description

Spend a day hiking to the summit of the La Tournette overlooking the beautiful Lake Annecy. Let me lead the way on this great day trip in the Haute-Savoie region of the Alps.

We’ll start our day early, as in the lower sections of the mountain it can get very hot during the day. We’ll make our way to the summit in a group of no larger than 8 people.

This is a fun and varied hike, with steel ladders and chains in some of the more difficult sections. There is also some great wildlife living up in the mountains, expect to see at least one wild Ibex.

Climbing this mountain is no easy feat, sitting at 1,514 meters it’s actually the tallest mountain surrounding the lake. For this reason, you’ll need to have a good level of fitness.

When we do reach the summit you’ll be blown away by the exceptional views. You’ll get a 360 view of the mountains in the area, including Mont Blanc, and of the lake. We’ll take some time here to enjoy the views, take photos and have a snack before heading down again.

The hike will take around six hours in total but trust me, that goes by in no time!

Mountain Guide

After living for 20 years in the south Alps I moved in Annecy, here I like to be close to many world famous ski resorts... La Clusaz, Chamonix, Megève, Flaine.

In winter I like to find the best ski conditions according to my guest level and the mountains conditions. I also enjoy crossing to Italia for a good powder session or climbing an icefall.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
