Day hike to a secluded water hole in the “Wet Beaver Wilderness” (Coconino National Forest), near Sedona

Located less than 30 minutes outside of Sedona, Arizona, we would like to guide you on a full day hike in the beautiful Coconino National Forest.

During this hike, we will trek on a moderate level trail to a secluded water hole in the Wet Beaver Wilderness. Throughout the trail, you will get to enjoy magnificent views of the landscape within the Coconino National Forest.

The trail stretches for approximately 6.9 miles round trip. And while there is not much in the way of technical difficulty, there is an elevation gain of approximately 587 feet. As a result, it is important that participants on this trip are in good physical condition.

We will be departing in the morning, when the sun has yet to reach its peak. This will help to avoid the crowds. And, once we reach the water hole, you will get to venture to a nearby cliff where you can jump into the cold, but wonderfully refreshing water!
