Description

Join us on this incredibly unique and one of the best treks in Bhutan, the Dur Hot Springs trek. The trek follows an old expedition route in the Himalayas, to Gangkar Phuensum .

The strenuous trail leads through a beautiful forest of Cyprus, spruce, juniper, and hemlock. Walking through lush maple forests, you’ll explore the rich biodiversity of the region and if you are lucky, you might be able to spot the elegant musk deer and the famous blue sheep.

What makes this trek truly unique is the Hot Spring. Known for its medicinal properties, you’ll be rejuvenated as you take a dip in the hot, soothing water.

We’ll begin this journey at Paro. After a day of sightseeing the beautiful temples in the city, we’ll embark on our trek. Crossing Bumthang, Gorsum and several other villages, we’ll reach  Dur Tsachu, a beautiful spot where the spring is. Along this part of the trail between Tsochrnchen to Dur Tsachu, you might spot several wild animals including the Himalayan bear.

And once you reach the Dur Hot Springs, the massaging hot water will wash away all the exhaustion of the tiring trek.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
