Description

If you want to learn about and join in on the addictive, exciting and enjoyable activity of whitewater rafting, then join me on this easy afternoon of rafting on the Esera River in the Aragones Pyrenees, Spain, as we wind our way down the river and through some of the most idyllic and lovely scenery in Spain, all while we give you the basic skills and confidence needed to improve your rafting.

The Aragonese Pyrenees are located in Northeast Spain, and make up a section of the wider Pyrenees Mountains. The river Esera is close to the city of Huesca, as well as the border with France, and is an increasingly popular spot for whitewater rafting and other outdoor activities.

After our initial meeting, where we will go through all relevant safety gear and information, we then hit the water and begin our rafting.

The purpose of the afternoon is to help you get to grips with the skills needed to whitewater raft, and we will encourage you to try these skills and techniques out on the river.

We will wind our way down the river along the Piramides section and onwards to Santaliestra, and there will be some parts along the way that will challenge your newfound skills.

We encourage everyone to take in the magnificent views we are exposed to, with the mighty Aragones Pyrenees providing superb and wide open landscapes to admire, with the relatively unspoiled nature of this area leading to lush scenery all around.

After a few hours of fun we finish our afternoon in Besians, hopefully having made you catch the rafting bug and given you the impetus to try whitewater rafting in more locations.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
