At an altitude of 5,230 m, Iztaccihuatl is Mexico’s third highest volcano. Its name translates to “white woman” due to the shape of its white-capped peaks. Right next to it is Popocatepetl, the second-highest volcano in Mexico.
On this excursion, we will hike on the sides of Iztaccihuatl. As we progress, we will follow a river with its source on the mountainside, discover a breathtaking waterfall, and catch stunning views. This is an easy 1-day hike and you don’t need technical skills to join. We will be there to point the direction and help you on the way.

Prices are per person to join a group. Price includes the loan of a rucksack. Participants must be 10 years or older to join.
Windproof top Complete change of clothes Mountain coat. Boots or trainers with a treaded sole and which protect the ankles. Comfortable shirt and trousers, preferably made of synthetic fibre and not cotton, including jeans. Water proof jacket. Gloves.

What experience do I need to have? How fit do I need to be? Is this program suitable for children or older people?
This trip is recommended for people who exercise 3 to 4 days a week and those who have some trekking experience. This trip is not recommended for children and persons with heart and lung sickness.
How can I get to the trailhead/meeting point?
The meeting point is in Av. Vicente Suárez 38, Colonia Condesa, Cuauhtémoc, 06170 Ciudad de México, CDMX. At 7 am, in the middle of Panam shoe store and Wings Army restaurant, in front of Mercado Michoacán in a blue door. You can take an UBER.
How will accommodation and meals be handled during the trek?
The meal is included at the end of the trip; we offer tacos, quesadillas, and beverages without alcohol.
Are there any other special requirements such as permits/insurance/vaccines that I need to consider before the tour?
You should have an excellent health.
What is the best time of the year for this hike?
We do this trip all year but the best season is from September to May (January, February, March, April, May- September, October, November, and December).
Can I join a group?
Sure, we have open groups every day from Monday to Sunday.
What happens in the event of bad weather?
If one day before the trip the weather conditions are really bad, we give you the option to reschedule.

We had a good hike. It was a nice area. There was a lot of cloud so unfortunately we didn’t really see the volcanoes. Our guide was helpful and friendly. There was some confusion as to where we would be picked up from however we resolved that.
