Family holiday in Hallstatt, 5 days of camping and family-friendly activities near Salzburg

Join me on this 5-day camping and family-friendly program in Hallstatt, near Salzburg, and enjoy a wonderful time with your kids!

If I know a region in Austria better than the Czech mountains, it is the Dachstein massif and the entire Hallstatt region, in the Salzkammergut district. So it was only a matter of time when decided I would bring out the kids. Now I offer you the opportunity to join us!

This is not a classic tour, meaning the program is not fixed at all. Every day we will plan a different activity, according to the current weather, the group wishes and the number of strollers and walking children.

During these days, you can drive on your own or decide where to go or when to eat, whenever you want.  We will be sleeping in a campsite, and you will cook your own meals. For your children, it will be an unforgettable adventure, as they will be sleeping in a tent.

There are plenty of worth seeing sites in the area and many options, even in case of bad weather. Of course, the action radius for our hikes will be much wider than Hallstatt, the lake and the camp.

Gosausee is a nice walk around the lake, and while mothers can enjoy a delicious iced coffee on the shores, children have fun with water games. In the stunning Lake Hallstatt we can enjoy a boat trip, visit the old salt mines, with slides and a train, or visiting the beautiufl village of Bad Goisern.

We will enjoy simply outdoor cooking, this will be really spartan! There is one very simply furnished kitchen in the camp, so we can make a mass dinner (pasta, potatoes, risotto) according to the group’s composition and wishes. Where there is will, there is a way!

I will guide you and organize the services, and you need to take care of your own transport, accommodation and meals. We may also use the services of some cable cars, but it will really depend on the situation and group wishes.
