Stockholm is a fantastic place to learn and improve as an outdoor climber. Just outside the city, granite crags tucked into forests, lakesides, and quiet natural areas offer the perfect setting for a full day of climbing instruction.
This private full-day experience is designed for climbers who want more time on the rock and a stronger learning focus than a half-day guided session. It’s a great option for indoor climbers transitioning outdoors, beginners looking for a structured introduction, or more experienced climbers who want to improve specific skills with a certified instructor.
Led by Nikki, a UIAA-certified rock climbing instructor with over 20 years of experience, this course can be tailored to your goals and background. Depending on your level and wishes, the day may focus on topics such as movement technique on granite, belaying and safety systems, top rope climbing, lead climbing on bolts or trad/gear placements, anchor building, multipitch climbing, rescue techniques, or building confidence on real rock.
You’ll climb at one of the Stockholm area’s most suitable crags for your level and objectives.
Options may include accessible urban cliffs like Danviksklippan / Kanalklippan, scenic lakeside climbing at Örnberget, or bigger and more technical granite venues such as Ryssgraven or Häggsta. The final choice depends on your experience, preferred techniques to develop, weather, and logistics.
With a full 8-hour day, there is more time to move at a comfortable pace, cover skills in more depth, and truly immerse yourself in Stockholm’s local climbing scene. Whether your goal is to build foundations or take the next step in your outdoor climbing journey, this day gives you the time and coaching to do it properly.
