Description

Val d’Isère, thanks to its closeness to Italy, can offer many possibilities for heliskiing, either pick up from neighbouring valleys or drops on the Italian side. These heliskiing days will stay in your memory because of the quantity and quality of the skiing, as well as the beauty of the mountains seen from above, and the excitement of flying.

Please find below some of the beautiful itineraries I like to take with my friends and clients based in Val d’Isère or in order ski resorts of Tarentaise and Maurienne.

Bonneval sur Arc

Starting from Pissaillas in Val d’Isere, and after approx. 40 minutes of skinning, one reaches the Ouille Noire Pass and descends onto the neighbouring valley of the Montets, where you will enjoy long descents of powder or spring snow, all the way down to the small town of Bonneval sur Arc, highest resort of the Maurienne at the foot of the Albarron (3640m), amidst a landscape of great glaciers scarred by gigantic seracs.

The spectacular helicopter flight back to Val d’Isere, 1000m above the Vanoise National Parc, finishes off this splendid day of skiing.

Ruitor / Miravidi

Starting from La Rosiere, we ski towards the Petit Saint Bernard Pass where the Italian helicopter awaits. According to the snow and weather conditions, there are many itineraries to choose from : Mt Ouille, Mt Miravidi, Mt Freduaz, Mt Ruitor…   It is possible to opt for one, two or even three consecutive drops, the last one on the franco-italian border to ski back to France.

Valgrisenche Valley

The valley of Valgrisenche, on the Italian side of the mountain, is only a few kilometers of Val d’Isere as the crow flies, but it takes hours to reach it by road. This preserved valley is one of the heliski hotspots of the Alps, where you can do several consecutive drops over one or two days, sleeping in one of the atmospheric local inns.

The price is as follow:

  • Daily guiding fee = 410€ per group
  • Heliski fee = as from 250€ per person (in a group of 4)

One or more days of heliski can be combined with off-piste and ski-touring days. Please contact me to discuss your projects and aspirations, and we can define together an ad-hoc program.

I will provide all the security equipment (airbag, shovel, probe, DVA beeper, harnass if required).
