Guided hiking tour in the Konorchek Canyons

Also known as the Eolian Castles, the Konorchek Canyons are located a 136 km from the capital city of the country, Bishkek, in Boom Gorge.This beautiful area is a great destination  all year round to enjoy a one-day hiking trip!

We will start at 8 am and drive about 2 hours to the Train bridge in Boom Gorge, where we live our car. Then we will trek up along a small and charming river called Kurganterek where we will discover a narrow gorge with confluent stream. Hiking through a narrow labyrinth of rocky walls with several easy-scrambling parts will make you feel like a true explorer!

After 1,5 hours of hiking we will arrive to a spectacular wide-open area with Eolian castles ahead. As a result of thousand of year of wind erosion, nature has given us the opportunity to enjoy this amazing landscape of canyons, where their quaint walls resemble the ruins of ancient castles.

In this magical place time seems to stop and participants will be transported to another planet where time flows quite differently. After a beautiful lunch in a great panoramic spot we will have time to take pictures and enjoy the surrounding views.
