A favorite with hikers, the Mormon Trail to Fat Man’s Pass is like many trekking routes in the Phoenix area. It is relatively easy, provides hikers with great exercise and is full of stunning views of the Arizona landscape. And, it would be our pleasure to guide you along that route on this half-day trek.
The Mormon Trail is 3.8 miles long round trip. It is not very technically difficult, but there is some elevation gain. As a result, while the trip is open to people of all skill levels, participants should be in good physical condition.
The trail begins with an incline that includes several large boulders in the middle of the trail. Hence, providing you with an immediate introduction to the adventurous nature of the trail. As you continue along the trail, you will get to enjoy some magnificent views of the city of Phoenix, which are especially amazing during sunset. You will continue to encounter several wonderful viewpoints as you continue to progress along the trail toward Fat Man’s Pass. While the pass is quite narrow, once you reach it, you will get to enjoy the shade it provides. Afterwards, you will return to the trail head.
If you are in the Phoenix area, don’t miss out on the chance to hike along the Mormon Trail to Fat Man’s Pass. The views, as well as the hike itself, are wonderful. To join us on this half-day trek, please send a request.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
