There is a majestic tropical forest right in the heart of Panama City. And on this half-day adventure, we’ll get to explore this incredible place as we hike across the Metropolitan Natural Park and Ancon Hill.
If you love exploring nature, this is the perfect trip for you. On this marvelous hiking trip, we will get to spot many curious creature that inhabit this place, such as the lovely sloths. But we will also be able to encounter other animals like the tree frogs. And we’ll get to see adorable monkeys playing above us. Furthermore, there are many unique species that call this place home, like the majestic trees that grow in this tropical forest, among many other plants.
Our first stop, the Metropolitan Natural Park is the only refuge for wildlife in Panama city. One of the endemic species we can find here is the Geoffroy’s tamarin.
Thereupon, we’ll head towards Ancon Hill, a mesmerizing hill that offers the most incredible views of the capital of Panama. Due to the lack of metropolitan development, this beautiful place is now a reserve. Also, Ancon hill is home of the highest point in Panama City. Therefore, the best vistas are from here.
We can reach the summit of Ancon Hill in 30 minutes, through an enchanting hiking path. What’s more, it remains a sanctuary for many wildlife. So we could also see sloths, armadillos, white-nosed coati and deer.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
