This Heliboarding day trip in Hüfi, Switzerland is your best chance to snowboard the most incredible powder while enjoying breathtaking views from a helicopter!

The Hüfi Glacier is an amazing snowboarding area located in the Glarus Alps, in the Swiss canton of Uri. We’ll access this area from the Tavanasa Heli base, located 8 kms west of Ilanz.

The flight will already be an incredible adventure with breathtaking views of the Alps. And on our first run we’ll head up to Linthal / Tierfehd, from where we’ll enjoy a low-snow run. Then we’ll go for a second flight to Val Russein, another great area for Heliboarding.

I offer daily departures for this trip in winter. The program starts early in the morning, from 7.30 am to 10 am, and it depends on the weather conditions and the number of participants. Skiers are also welcomed!

Mountain Guide

I have a Masters in Geology and I am an IFMGA Mountain Guide. Skiing and climbing are my greatest passions. Also, travelling has become a great fascination of mine. What I love most about it is how it always opens up new horizons and possibilities. I love going to different parts of the world, meet new friends, my ski equipment and climbing shoes always ready to go.

Even if I have been climbing and skiing for more than 20 years, I have several pending projects in mind. At the top of my list are: climbing the Cordillera Real in Bolivia, going to the Parinacota volcano in Chile for some amazing ski mountaineering, and going again on a ski road trip through the Andes.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
