The small island of Bonaire is a beautiful place near the coast of Venezuela and near the islands of Curacao and Aruba. While small, the island is nonetheless filled with a number of wonderful trails, all of which are perfect for exploring. On this short, half-day trip, we would like to guide you along the Subi Brandaris Trail, which will take you to the highest point on the island.
The Subi Brandaris Trail, like of the other official hiking trails on the island, is located in the amazing Washington Slagbaai National Park. The trail stretches for approximately 4 kilometers round trip, with an elevation of approximately 241 meters.
Along the Subi Brandaris Trail, you will begin by trekking along an easy, very distinguishable trail. However, as you progress higher and higher, the trail becomes more rocky. Regardless, the trek is quite easy.
Once we reach the highest point of the trail, you may be able to see some of the island’s wildlife. However, the real treat is the sensational views you will get to enjoy. You will not only get to see virtually the entire island of Bonaire, but if the day is clear, you will get to see Curacao, as well as the mountains of Venezuela. So, make sure to remember your camera!
While the trail is not very difficult, participants on this trip should be in good physical condition.
The Subi Brandaris Trail on Bonaire is the perfect trail for those who want to enjoy the best views on the island. To join us on this wonderful trip, please send a request.
We can also take you along the Kasikunda Trail on this half-day trip.
