Colomitos Beach hike and snorkeling in Bahía de Banderas in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Join us on a magical day of hiking and snorkeling in the stunning Bahía de Banderas in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. On this trip, you'll get to enjoy both the tropical coastline as well as the lush forest of the area.

The day will begin at Boca de Tomatlán, a small fishing village. From here, we'll follow an old path through the mountains. Along the way, you'll get beautiful sneak peeks of the bay and see interesting flora and fauna, such as fig trees and iguanas.

We'll keep walking until we reach the sandy shores of Colomitos Beach, our spot for snorkeling. It's a small secluded beach but home to a lot of interesting undersea life. This includes sea urchins and pufferfish among others. You may even be lucky to see stingrays or turtles.

After we snorkel we'll take a little bit of time to enjoy the beach and have a snack.  Then, it'll be time to start the hike back to our start point.

This hike covers 3 km in total. The walk is not overly strenuous. However, there are uneven patches and some loose rock and debris, so you'll need to be surefooted.
