Description

Are you looking for an amazing hiking experience in the Caribbean? Then join one of our expert guides on a half-day outing in the Sage Mountain National Park, in Tortola!

Tortola is the largest and most populated of the British Virgin Islands, a group of around 60 tropical islands and cays located in the Caribbean Sea, west of Puerto Rico. Part of the British Overseas Territory, this region offers stunning terrain for outdoor adventures.

On this half-day tour, we will explore the Sage Mountain National Park, a protected area to the southwest of Road Town. Established in 1964, it’s named after the highest peak of the BVI, Mount Sage, a 523-meter volcanic peak with breathtaking views.

For this adventure, we will choose among the several hiking routes that cross this stunning park. We will immerse ourselves in typical Caribbean rainforests and old pastures, which are home to a rich avifauna and flora. A full-connection with nature awaits!

Please keep in mind that this trip is suitable for everyone. It doesn’t require special skills and it can be adapted to your fitness level.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
