Situated at the northwestern end of the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea, the British Virgin Islands boast plenty of incredible hiking opportunities.

Away from reaching the island’s highest point in Sage Mountain National Park, there are plenty of other incredible opportunities as well.

Half-day hikes to the aforementioned Shark’s Bay and Devil’s Bay are both quite popular. The former is located on the north shore of Tortola and gives hikers the opportunity to walk on sandy beaches as well as at the top of stunning cliffs. The latter is located on the neighboring island of Virgin Gorda and takes hikers through a boulder-strewn beach, which is also an ideal place for scrambling and bouldering too.

Heading on the famed sunset loop hike around Virgin Gorda is another incredible opportunity. The 8-kilometers (5-mile) loop provides great views all over the island and the chance to see a sublime sunset over Tortola and the Caribbean Sea.
