Join us for this fun and exciting Via Ferrata adventure, climbing up Honister Pass in England’s superbly scenic Lake District!
No prior experience is necessary to enjoy this half-day adventure, making this the perfect activity for both family and friends. However, all participants must be fit enough to climb for at least three hours.
Depending on how daring you are, we have two routes: the classic and extreme. The classic route more or less follows the old miner’s incline. After crossing through a portion of the old Honister Slate Mine, we arrive at the Via Ferrata.
Using lanyards, we will clip to the steel cable that runs all the way up to the top. The route starts out very easy to give you a taste of the activity before getting progressively steeper.
The extreme route begins along the classic one, before taking a daring twist. After ascending, you will cross the Burma Bridge, which takes you 2,000 feet above the valley floor! After crossing this wire bridge, you will then make another steep climb up a Via Ferrata, before reaching the summit of Fleetwith Pike.
