Description

Join me for a thrilling and eclectic day of canoeing, climbing Via Ferrata and abseiling in England’s pristine Lake District!

We’ve got a lot to do on this family-friendly day of adventure, so we’ll start out nice and early. Please note that for the Via Ferrata portion of the day participants must be a minimum of age 10 years and minimum height of 1.3 meters tall.

First on our agenda will be some canoeing on Lake Derwent. An excellent way to start any day, paddling on Lake Derwent allows us to appreciate the beauty of the area while out on the open water. Depending on the weather, we may even have a swim before we finish.

Once we’re back ashore, we head to our next activity for the day: the Rocky Mountain Way Via Ferrata. This Via Ferrata wire course is the real deal. Once we’re strapped into all of our equipment, we will make our way through the course, heading out along the mountain side and getting some spectacular views too. We’ll explore tunnels and head over swinging bridges before arriving at the mountain’s summit.

Our final stop of the day is possibly the most exciting. We will be trying out abseiling and rappelling along a rock face. With various different heights, there is something for everyone here. Just gear up, lean back and enjoy the way down!

So what are you waiting for? Book now for an incredible day of canoeing, climbing Via Ferrata and abseiling in the stunning scenery of the Lake District.

If you like the look of this trip then I think you will also enjoy my multi-adventure day of caving, rock climbing and abseiling in the lovely Lake District!

Had a great day out with my instructor Paul who was very helpful in introducing me to trad climbing and getting me to be very comfortable on the rocks. We did six 1-pitch climbs and one multi-pitch climb while enjoying the phenomenal view of Langdale amongst many Herdwick sheeps. Would have extended the experience if I had more time and definitely would do it again.
