Description

Hurricane Mountain, near Keene, is a great summit you must visit if you are in the Adirondacks’ area. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy one of the best full-circle and most impressive panoramic sights of the Adirondack mountains.

If you are planning your holidays on your own, or with your family or friends, spending one day at Hurricane Mountain is a great option. Groups of up to six people can join in!

The ascent to the summit, which is 1210 meters tall, is moderate and offers beautiful views. The total round-trip is 5 miles (8 kilometers).

Keene is a town that has 15 of the High Peaks, including the highest mountain in New York, Mount Marcy. The High Peaks is the name that 46 mountain peaks in the Adirondacks have received. From the top, many of these can be seen.

In this opportunity, you may ask for trekking poles and a daypack in case of need. You can also bring your own gear. Moreover, I strongly recommend you wear comfortable clothing and a good pair of mountain boots.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
