If your rock climbing skills need improvement and your inner climber needs to build more confidence, this 8-day intermediate course in Kalymnos Island, Greece, is exactly what you are looking for.

First of all, you will be able to witness a breathtaking scenario and then climb it. The rock faces in this part of the planet are really amazing and will make your heart race and your soul elevate. Second of all, you will learn techniques that will take your abilities to the next level.

The instruction will go through the following topics:

    • Top-rope & lead climbing
    • Build confidence lead climbing
    • Get a solid outdoor climbing experience
    • Coaching and training to improve your technique
    • Safe lead belaying
    • Basic safety skills
    • Understanding of outdoor risks
    • On-sight climbing & Red-point

How will it work? Our starting point will be a spectacular crag called Odyssey, where you will take your first steps on stalactites. In the evening, we will enjoy a tasty dinner, trying out the specialties at a shepherd’s or fisherman’s restaurant.

On the following days we will climb other beautiful crags, like the orange walls of Poets and Kalydna, Telendos, with its astonishing view of the Aegean Sea, the red rock of Arginonta and Grande Grotta, the real star of this trip.

You can find a detailed itinerary below this description. However, the schedule can be modified according to the weather conditions and in order to find the best orientation of the crags (sun, shade, etc).

Keep in mind that you will need some experience in rock climbing and to be physically fit to take this course. The course is aimed at improving your climbing technique, building a solid outdoor climbing experience, gaining confidence lead climbing and enjoying a selection of the best routes of Kalymnos

If you want to see immaculate waters from above and you feel ready to improve your rock climbing technique, book this trip now!

If you think you need to learn more before you call yourself an ‘intermediate’ climber, I have a beginner’s course as well.

    About the Guide

After nearly 10 years of mountaineering in Chamonix, I decided to dedicate myself to rock climbing.

In 2005, after one year intensive training, he got the french national sport’s instructor certificate for rock climbing (BEES escalade).

I have been exploring the crags of France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Canada and China. I finally decided to set up his climbing school in the island of Kalymnos (Greece). The beautiful landscapes, the endless sunshine and the vast climbing potential of the island convinced me to settle here from my first visit.

Since then, climbers from all over the world came to share his passion and to take avantage of his experience to improve their rock climbing skills. I have opened many new routes both in Kalymnos and Telendos from 4 to 9a. I climb 8a on-sight and red-point up to 8c. I did most of the routes of the island and always has new projects to red point!
