Description

This one-day trek to Waimea Canyon is a unique opportunity to admire nature in its maximum splendor and visit the paradisiac island of Kauai in the Central Pacific.

Because of the tropical forest in great part of the island, Kauai is also called “the Island Garden”.

Waimea Canyon is one of the island’s highlights. Along with the Nounou Paths, it’s a usual destination for mountain backpackers. The canyon, which is really imposing, is 21 kilometers long, has a width of 2 kilometers and a depth of 762 meters.

In this opportunity, apart from seeing impressive views, you will learn about the geological origins of this archipelago’s giant volcanic islands. In addition, you will be amazed by the red, yellow and purple tones of the lava rocks, which are the canyon’s indisputable beauty.

During the Kukui trail (4 kilometers), you will traverse a great variety of terrains. Beautiful waterfalls and water pools will allow to refresh along the way.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome.
