Description

It is not without reason that La Buitrera is known as the cathedral of ravines. Known for its spectacular vertical walls with narrowings of up to 1.5 meters wide, this masterpiece in the Andalusian region is par excellence. Join me as I take you on a half-day guided canyoning tour in this ravine in Spain.

Located on the east side of the Los Alcornocales natural park, between Cortes de la Frontera and El Colmenar, Las Buitreras is exceptional.

We’ll begin our adventure from the region of Costa del Sol, in the south of Spain. From here, we’ll head towards our site where I will brief you about the safety measures and the use of techniques.

And begins your adventure! Experience the thrill as you rappel, jump and slide in this daunting ravine.

Regarding difficulty, this is a medium difficulty ravine where we can venture only in summer. Although no previous experience is necessary, however, it is a must that you know how to swim as we will cross several large pools on the way.

And don’t forget that I will choose the activities according to your skills, so you don’t have to worry.

Get in touch now to book this amazing adventure of canyoning in La Buitrera in Málaga. You won’t regret it, I assure you! And if you are just starting off with your canyoning adventure, I have a trip designed just for you here.

I'm a lover of adventure sports, with 23 years of experience in almost all its modalities. My passion is climbing, although my profession is more focused on another of my passions: the canyoning. I'm ICOpro Instructor (the only one in Spain), which allows me to join my two passions, sport and teaching.
I have climbed and done canyoning in many countries of the world like Indonesia, Morocco, Argentina, France, Switzerland and India. And what my travels have truly taught me is that what really matters is the people and what they can teach me. I learn from each of the people I lead and I love that.

Booked half day Via Ferrata - it turned out to be 1.5 hours via Ferrata and 1.5 hours travelling. Was disappointed with the amount of time actually doing the activity

More information required from Rafa before the trip - we did not know that we would have to drive for 30 mins off-road to get to the start point. We were in a hire car and I was very concerned about damaging the car. We also had 21 people in our group - this is far too many. The trip took about 7 hours because we moved so slowly with so many people.

Rafa, is a terrific guide. My family had a fantastic time on the via feratta route he took us on in Archidona. I found Rafa to be professional, friendly, client-centered and safe. You will have to initiate the majority of the contact, but the experience is likely to be the highlight of your trip to southern Spain. I plan on recontacting Rafa when we are next in the area. He provides all the needed equipment.
