Description

Join me for a spectacular trip heliboarding the incredible Mount Cook. Located in the Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, New Zealand‘s highest mountain is a place you’ll never forget.

This trip includes 5 epic runs (though more are available if you wish to). Away from the crowded Queenstown, this mountain offers New Zealand’s best snow! Besides, you’ll also get to enjoy the impressive landscape while having fun: the National Park is covered in glaciers, including the Tasman and Hooker. It is no surprise that a beautiful place like this was chosen for a movie venue: you might recognize it from “Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring”.

I recommend this trip to intermediate snowboarders looking for a unique experience. Skiers are also welcome!

If you want a longer experience, there is also the option of extending the trip for two more days with a great discount!

If you are ready for an exciting adventure, book your trip now! Heliboarding is a must for all snowboard lovers and I would love to guide you in this incredible opportunity.

Mountain Guide

I grew up skiing in Hokkaido, the island of ‘Japow’ in Japan. I moved to New Zealand in 2001 and I live in Mount Cook village, where the centre of Southern Alps lies.

Since then I'm deeply in love with the natural environment that New Zealand can offer.

I'm an IFMGA-certified mountain guide and a member of New Zealand Mountain Guides Association. I guide all over the Southern Alps of NZ, especially rock climbing, alpine climbing, instruction courses in summer, heliskiing, ski touring, ice climbing in winter.

Please contact me if you are looking for an adventure in NZ both during the summer and during the winter.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
