Description

Located in the stunning Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada, Mount Hector (3,394m), is an amazing peak. And for 3 days, we would like to guide you to its summit, while also giving you a chance to explore the gorgeous Lake Louise area that surrounds the mountain.

Our trip to the top of Mount Hector will begin in the town of Canmore. From there, we will drive north of Lake Louise to the trailhead. After that, we will hike through the landscape, filled with creeks, forest and snowy slopes until we reach our campsite, where we will spend the night.

On the following day, we will traverse a heavily crevassed glacier. Our journey on the glacier will be careful and deliberate, ensuring you get to enjoy the beauty of the icy slab safely. Afterwards, we will continue ascending Mount Hector right up to its summit. From the summit, you will get to enjoy some of the best views in the Banff National Park. You will get to gaze at some of the most famous peaks in the Canadian Rockies, as well as the many sensational alpine lakes in the area. We will then descend back to our camp for the night. And on the last day, we will pack up, hike back to the trailhead and return to Canmore.

Climbing Mount Hector is more than ascending a peak, it is exploring one of the world’s greatest natural regions. If you would like to enjoy this unforgettable experience, just send us a request.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!

Nate was very knowledgeable and got me to the top of mountain. He’s not as engaging as most of the guides I’ve had over the years. I’ve learned a lot about most of my climbs as guides talk about the mountain and the area maybe even plant and animals and I enjoy getting to know them better. We did talk a bit more on the way out of the trailhead. All in all a good experience. But not sure your company told him I had a knee replacement and would be slow.
