Description

Have you ever imagined skiing across a mountain in Africa? Well, this Mount Toubkal ski touring program is your chance to experience reaching the highest summit in north Africa and then skiing down!

Between January and April the Atlas Mountain range gets enough snow to offer wonderful ski runs. During this period, I will guide you to the amazing Mount Toubkal, whose summit lies at 4167 m.

First, after arriving to Marrakesh, we’ll head to Imlil. From here, we’ll climb to the base mountain hut at 3200 m. And for two days we’ll do acclimatization climbs to different peaks, to get a taste of the African snow. Then, once you’re ready, we’ll attack the great Toubkal summit, from where the views are majestic!

During the journey you’ll get to discover the local culture, which makes this trip a unique experience.

So please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have to make this Mount Toubkal ski touring program happen.

And if you wish to do this program, but you don’t have the availability, there is a shorter option: the Express Toubkal ski touring program. This program takes you to the Toubkal summit and down in four days. We’ll skip the acclimatization hikes, but we’ll enjoy the cultural contrast and the amazing ski slopes!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
