Few ski descents in the world can match the majesty, accessibility, and sheer atmosphere of the Vallée Blanche. Starting in Courmayeur, Italy, this one-day guided trip begins with a ride on the Skyway Monte Bianco to Punta Helbronner (3,466 m) — a futuristic cable car that sets the tone for the adventure ahead.
From there, you’ll step into a world of glaciers, towering peaks, and open alpine spaces, descending nearly 2,000 vertical meters over approximately 20 kilometers into Chamonix, France. The terrain is glacial but not technically difficult, making it one of the few high-alpine experiences accessible to intermediate-level skiers with solid technique and a sense of adventure.
As described by Roberto, “It’s more than a ski descent — it’s a true journey into the heart of the high mountains.”
Note: The descent may end directly in Chamonix or, depending on snow coverage, require a short train ride on the Montenvers rack railway to reach the town. A bus return through the Mont Blanc tunnel brings you back to Courmayeur by afternoon.

Mountain Guide
Roberto “Rouge” Rossi, born on 24/02/1976 in Turin, forms the Mountain Passion guide team with Filippo, Federica and Riccardo. If I’m unavailable to guide you, one of them will take care of you.
I graduated in Biology, and I'm a Mountain Guide since 2003, and Guide Instructor since 2007.
I'm enthusiastic for all that is mountains and verticality, practice 360-degree mountaineering, with a large number of climbs along the entire Western Alpine arc where I've made all kinds of climbs and on all terrains, with a predilection for Mont Blanc. However, I did not neglect the extra-European mountains by making extra-European and European trips and expeditions including Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, Patagonia, Himalaya, Pakistan, Morocco, Kenya, Norway, Spain, Japan, Canada, USA.
I now divide my days between Cervinia and Chamonix, and I'm a great lover of high mountain climbing and steep skiing, among which the descents of the North of Lyskamm, of the East and of the South of Monte Rosa, of the North of Aiguille du Midi along different itineraries and east of the Matterhorn. I'm also a trainer for work at height with access and positioning systems using ropes and for third category fall protection PPE.
I collaborate with specialized magazines in the sector (ALP, Planetmountain) and am a consultant for Montura, Scarpa, ATK, Kæstle, Edelweiss, ARVA, BLUE ICE.

Perfect guidance. We were having trouble with getting a taxi to the lift station, one of them already had passengers and tried to pick us up when there was no space for everyone which was frustrating. Roberto kindly picked us up and managed to get everything going on time. On the route itself he made sure that everything was safe before we set off on the difficult parts of the climb. Overall great knowledge of the route, and made the experience very fun. Just ensure you're properly fit for this climb and are comfortable with climbing on very exposed and narrow passages, as some moves are not only nerve-wracking but physically demanding due to altitude. I would reccomend prior acclimatisation before this climb.
