Description

If you are looking for a truly great spot for freeriding and off-piste skiing, join me for this 4-day program in Andermatt. This special area is known for its impressive snow dumps, which can go untouched for weeks.

The height and location of Andermatt make it one of the best sites for off-piste skiing in the Alps. During this 4-day program, we will spend the nights at a hotel in Andermatt, from which we will depart each day for a day of amazing off-piste skiing.

Some of the runs I will guide you on across Gemsstock (2,961 m) are:

  • Giraff

  • Felsental

  • Guspis

Other possible runs and ski resorts are: Staldenfirn, in Disentis, and Oberalpass. Each program will be adjusted to the snow and weather conditions, as well the technical skills of the group. This is to ensure the best quality and safety.

This program is available during the winter season, and runs from Mondays to Thursdays. Skiers need to have solid off-piste skiing skills, and good fitness level: there will be 2.5 hour hiking segments (with and without skins).

On Day 1, I will meet you at 9 am at the Sporthotel Sonne in Andermatt to start our program. Please note that Andermatt is 2.45 hours from the Zurich airport, by train; or 2.30 hours by car or taxi. If necessary, I suggest flying in the previous day.

Ready to join me for an unbeatable off-piste skiing program in Andermatt this winter? Send me a request. I hope to have you among my guest soon.

Mountain Guide

I have a Masters in Geology and I am an IFMGA Mountain Guide. Skiing and climbing are my greatest passions. Also, travelling has become a great fascination of mine. What I love most about it is how it always opens up new horizons and possibilities. I love going to different parts of the world, meet new friends, my ski equipment and climbing shoes always ready to go.

Even if I have been climbing and skiing for more than 20 years, I have several pending projects in mind. At the top of my list are: climbing the Cordillera Real in Bolivia, going to the Parinacota volcano in Chile for some amazing ski mountaineering, and going again on a ski road trip through the Andes.

Skiing and climbing challenges never end! Have a look at my different tours. I hope to have you as a guest in one of them soon.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
