Description

the Picos del Infierno massif in the Spanish Pyrenees is a three headed wonder that you can conquer in a single day!

On this amazing expedition, I would like to guide you to the summits of all three of the Pico del Infierno’s peaks. On the surface, such a task would seem impossible. However, because the three summits, all of which exceed 3,000 metres, are very close to together, it can be done.

From the summits, you will get to see a huge portion of the Spanish Pyrenees. You will also get to look out at the Tena valley and its impressive landscape. Not to be outdone, you will get to gaze at the surrounding red shales of the massif as well, which resemble the hellfire from which the picos got their name.

There are different routes that we can take on this day trip. The first route begins in Panticosa (1,630m). From there, we will make our way along the Pondiellos and Ibones lakes. After that, we will ascend along the mountain’s southern slope. Meanwhile, the second route starts at the Collados de los infiernos and is considered the easier of the two options.

Climbing to the summits of the Picos del Infierno is an amazing experience. However, it is also an arduous one. As a result, participants on this trip should have prior mountaineering experience, and be in good physical condition.

If you are looking for a spectacular climb in the Spanish Pyrenees that will take only one day, then this trip is for you. Just send me a request, and let me guide you to the top of the Picos del Infierno.

I also offer a 2 day ascent of the Monte Perdido in the Pyrenees as well.

Luis was the guide Javier organised. He was very professional, guided us to the top (and back) seamlessly, set a pace that suited both of us. He also pointed out various points of interest. Would definitely recommend Luis. Also, Javier was very helpfull in providing information for another area I was visiting.
