Rock climbing in Sierra Guara

Join me in this rock climbing course for beginners in Sierra Guara. My goal is that you can climb autonomously and solve incidents in a practical and safe way.

The sport climbing consists in climbing to the top of a rocky wall, coordinating the movements of your body and using your hands and feet. As you evolve you have to look for the security anchors and grips already set on the rock. All this with the help of a rope and a partner (me!).

It is an ideal course to start to know the necessary techniques to climb safely. I think it is a perfect opportunity for those who have never climbed or have done it few times. Moreover, during this rock climbing course you will learn the basics of rock climbing so that you can then climb autonomously. The activity can be run in natural rocky walls or in an indoor climbing wall of Sierra Guara. There are also many other options in the Iberian Peninsula.

The activity will focus on learning the proper movements of the body and the necessary safety techniques. You will also learn how to tie knots and how to use the necessary material. That equipment includes harness, cat’s feet, carabiners and climbing rope.

This learning trip can take place in Sierra de Guara as well as in Catalunya or Mallorca. The course consists in 2 training days, 8 hours each. 

Remember to bring comfortable clothing, which allows you to climb freely. Backpack (40 liters recommended), some food or snacks and proper shoes are also necessary.
