If you love rock climbing, then coming with me on this 1-day program in Montserrat, near Barcelona, one of the best destinations for this activity, is a must!

Just 30 kilometers away from Barcelona, the Montserrat Massif is one of the most popular and important mountains in Catalonia. It belongs to the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range and it’s a dreamy destination for different types of activities. On this 1-day adventure, I would like to invite you to discover its amazing rock climbing options!

First of all, we’ll meet in the train station and drive to the climbing area. From there, we’ll do a little trek to our wall where we’ll spend around 40 minutes climbing. In total, we’ll climb five pitches and then enjoy rappelling the descent. Apart from its wide variety of climbing possibilities, the Montserrat Massif has great rocky terrain as well as spectacular surrounding views. I’m sure it will be an unforgettable experience!

Please, keep in mind that this program is for intermediate participants with prior rock climbing experience and a very good level of fitness. Due to Montserrat’s wonderful climate conditions, we can enjoy this activity all year round.

From there, we drove a bit to the actual mountain and made the final approach on foot. The climb itself was really fun! I’m addicted to multi-pitches now. The whole experience was just what I needed.
