If you’re an experienced climber looking for a unique climb, you can’t miss this chance in Picos de Europa.
I would like to invite you to discover a limestone sea on the “Palacio de Invierno” route or Winter Palace in the Picos de Europa Massif. Come with me on this 1-day trip in Cantabria. You won’t regret your choice!
If you follow me on this trip, we’ll discover a jewel inside the Picos de Europa National Park. During the climb, we’ll enjoy crossing a perfect wall with excellent rock quality. We’ll meet in the Fuente Dé cable car, in the Liébana comarca, and take the Palacio de Invierno route.
Please, keep in mind that this program is for solid 6b climbers that can tackle 4 hours of hiking and 800 meters of elevation gain. Also, keep in mind that the trip has a total duration of 8 hours.
So, do you think this rock climbing day would suit you? If that’s so, then all you need to do is send the request and make your reservation. I’ll be happy to guide this climb in Picos de Europa.
In addition, you can take a look at this rock climbing day that I lead in Cueto Agero, also in Picos de Europa.

Meeting point Fuente Dé Cable Car, Cantabria, Spain. |
Based in Picos de Europa (Spain). Born in 1982, at the age of three I had my first contact with the mountains when my family took me skiing at the ski resort near my home.
Ever since then, I practiced consistently, developing an interest in climbing, skiing and trekking. I had always felt a special curiosity and attraction for alpinism and winter mountaineering and ever since then I have enjoyed the continuous learning process, climbing up some of the most emblematic mountains in Spain and abroad (France, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, USA, Morocco, Patagonia…)
After a few years working as a computer engineer where I felt that every day at office was “a wasted day”, I decided to leave everything and go for what really made me happy, to continue my mountain guide education and to head in the direction where I really wanted to go rather than just dreaming about it. I wanted everyday to count and to be able to share and transmit everything that the mountains mean to me.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
