Description
Montserrat is a renowned destination for rock climbing, and on these exciting day trips, I will guide you to the best spots on this magic mountain in Catalonia. All levels are welcome to join, there are options for everyone!
To get to Montserrat, all you need to do is take the train from Barcelona to Monistrol. I can pick you up at the train station and we can set off on an incredible day of climbing. We can also visit the monastery that Montserrat is famous for. When the day is done, we will head back to the train station and you can easily return to Barcelona from there.
Keep in mind that this tour is open to everyone, whether you've never tried rock climbing or whether you are a seasoned climber. I'll adapt the itinerary to fit your needs and we will enjoy an exciting day on the walls of Montserrat.

FAQs
How can I reach the meeting point by public transport from Barcelona?
From Barcelona-Plaça Espanya station, take the FGC R5 train towards Manresa and get off at Monistrol de Montserrat. If we are meeting at Montserrat Monastery, change here for the Cremallera de Montserrat rack railway, which takes you up to the monastery area. Allow approximately 1.5 hours for the full journey, depending on connections.
Alternatively, I can arrange to pick you up at Monistrol de Montserrat train station. Please confirm the meeting location and time with me before buying your tickets, as a station pickup means you will not need to take the rack railway. Check the latest train schedules before travelling.

I was born in a small village in the Catalan Pyrenees, so mountains have been part of my life since childhood. I’m a UIAGM/IFMGA-certified mountain guide passionate about rock climbing, alpinism, ski touring and freeride. Winter means skiing, ice climbing and alpinism, while summer is all about alpine adventures in the Alps and rock climbing in the Pyrenees.
