Description

Join me as I guide you on this glorious day of rock climbing in the Vang Quarry near Hasle in Bornholm, Denmark, a stunning location that not only provides enjoyable and challenging rock climbing for people of all different levels of ability, but also breath-taking and amazing views out over the gorgeous natural scenery and coastline that Bornholm is known for.

Bornholm is a Danish island located in the Baltic Sea, and is a popular tourist destination in the Summer owing to its warm weather and abundance of natural scenery ranging from large rock formations to lush green forests and sandy beaches. This makes it an ideal locale for outdoor activities such as rock climbing.

We meet at our starting point in Hasle, near the Quarry, and before we go anywhere near the climbing spots we go through vital and important safety gear and information.

Over the course of the day we will be teaching you all the relevant, useful and basic techniques needed to give you the confidence to rock climb, examples being the different knot and bolt types, the stability of the rocks and basic abseiling/rappel techniques.

The Vang Quarry provides a wide array of climbing routes and trails, and depending on your level of ability you are free to tackle any one of these, safe in the knowledge that myself and other expert guides will be around to help should you encounter any difficulties.

The views we are exposed to when climbing in the Quarry are truly special and spectacular, with the largely untouched and fascinating lush green scenery of the islands interior leading down to the epic and splendid coastline.

After we finish this day-long adventure you should have the basic tools and confidence to continue rock climbing at different locations, and hopefully become addicted to this insanely fun activity.

I am the owner of Bornholms Outdoorcenter. We provide experiences in rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, diving and mountain biking with experienced instructors. Climbing in Vang Quarry, diving in Allinge and mountain biking in Nordskoven are some of our favourite trips. We are looking forward to taking you out on an adventure!
