Description

Come and join me for a fun and exciting 1+ day of scrambling in any one of the UK’s top climbing destinations!

Depending on your skill level and preference, we can tackle various spots in Wales’ Snowdonia National Park, the Scottish Highlands or England’s Lake District.

Scrambling is divided into three difficulty levels, ranging from 1 to 3, with 1 being the easiest and 3 being the most difficult.

If you’ve never scrambled before, the UK is the perfect place to learn and we can head to to any of Helvellyn via Striding, Swirral edges or Blencathra via Sharp Edge, all of which are in the Lake District; Snowdon via Crib Goch in Wales; and Beinn Alligin or the Horns of Alligin in Scotland.

Level 2 scrambling requires a bit more thinking than level 1, but should be doable for people with previous scrambling experience. Along with level 3 scrambles, they also require the use of a rope to guard against slips and falls.

For level 2 scrambles, we can head out to any of Cam Crag ridge in the Lake District; Bryant’s Gully in Wales; and Aonach Eagach, An Teallach or Forcan ridge, all of which are in Scotland.

Level 3 scrambles are the toughest and require plenty of technical ability as well as thoughtfulness. The line is quite blurry in between where rock climbing begins and scrambling at this level ends.

For level 3 scrambles, we can head out to Pinnacle Ridge in the Lake District, sections of the Cuillin Ridge on the Isle of Skye or Dolmen Ridge in Ogwen, Wales.

Regardless of where we go or which level you are at, I guarantee that we will enjoy some of the stunning surroundings as well as learn a bit about the sport and get some scrambling experiences under our belts.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for this exciting and informative 1+ day of scrambling in the UK!

If you like the look of this trip and think you are up for a challenge, then I think you will also enjoy my scrambling day at Pinnacle Ridge in England’s Lake District!

Had a great day out with my instructor Paul who was very helpful in introducing me to trad climbing and getting me to be very comfortable on the rocks. We did six 1-pitch climbs and one multi-pitch climb while enjoying the phenomenal view of Langdale amongst many Herdwick sheeps. Would have extended the experience if I had more time and definitely would do it again.
