This Sierra de Guara 1+day rock climbing course for beginners will teach the basics of this activity!
Sport climbing is one of the many possible forms of rock climbing. Its main characteristic is that it relies on anchors permanently fixed to the rock, this way you are protected during the whole climb. Sport climbing is also about strength, gymnastic ability and technique putting the risk a bit aside.
To master this activity you’ll need to coordinate your body movements using hands and feet, plus be able to choose the best way to climb up.
That’s why I’ve designed this open program, so you can decide how many days you want to spend learning this incredible sport, which will change your life perspective!
We’ll start learning all about the gear -security anchors and grips- and the basic body movements to be safe during the climb. And as the days go by I’ll show you different techniques to deal with different situations.
I believe that Sierra de Guara is a perfect place to learn this activity, but there are also great spots in Catalonia or Mallorca, so you can let me know where you prefer to do it.
So send me a request for this rock climbing course and let me know for how many days you’ll like to stay, and I’ll show you the first steps of this incredible sport!

I've been having a strong passion for outdoor sports for over 15 years. In the last 5 years, I've been working as a professional guide specialized in climbing and canyoning. My favourite is rock climbing, it doesn't matter the style (sport, trad, dws, bouldes, single or multipitch routes) the importat thing is climb high. As a native Mallorcan, Psicobloc or Deep Water Soloing, is in his genes. While he has a deep appreciation for the crags of Mallorca, Catalonia and Aragon, he has also climbed in Morocco, Turkey, Italy, France, Slovenia, Croatia, Tajikistan and China.

Absolutely loved my climbing trip guided by Carlos Vidal. He is legend, real professional, very knowledgeable, super focused, and I felt super safe on the walls. Everything was excellent. I had great adventure and fun. He always made sure he explained every step and everything I need to know very carefully and that we have good communication. It was my first ever trip outdoor climbing and I have levelled up my skills so quickly. I would recommend Carlos to anyone, and definitely I will be back to climb with him in future :)

Carlos was an excellent guide for the Cala Moli Via Ferrata. He did a great job ensuring we were safe, while allowing the space to explore and enjoy the route. He is extremely knowledgeable about climbing, and knew when to step in a lend a hand (or knee). The route itself is stunning, and I can't recommend it enough to others. Additionally, going in a private group with Carlos was well worth the slightly higher costs than the tours with 10+ people because it allowed for dedicated help, and not to mention - he took some wonderful photos for us. I can't wait to return, so we can do another climbing adventure with Carlos.

We thought we had arranged a trip with a guide but we got Carlos who was amazing. He greatly focused on safety and managed to challenge and grow all (to adults and 2 children at 14 and 11) at the same time and in a way which made the day truly awesome

Had a great day climbing with Carlos. He's knowledgeable about, and devoted to, the sport. I only had a single day during my trip to Spain to climb and was looking to get on some of the best sport routes in the area - and Carlos did not disappoint. As a guide he was skilled and safe, ensuring that we had a shared understanding of the safety systems. As a climbing partner he was insightful in recommending routes, providing beta, and the softest of catches. We chatted the whole time about the sport and the industry and the various features of routes. Highly recommend Carlos as a climbing guide if you're in the Barcelona area and I will definitely look him up again next time I'm in Spain without a belay.
