Ski touring & freeride skiing in Chamonix… There is no need to have an exceptional skill level to enjoy this trip, especially when the snow is soft or just fresh.
I try my best to correct defects (position, independence legs, unwanted movements…), in order to fully enjoy the great classics of the valley.
Finally, knowing quite well the range of skis and boots I can guide you in choosing your equipment.
OFF-PISTE SKIING
Both for beginners and very experienced skiers, Chamonix is a domain dedicated to long and unmarked descents. These routes are varied because of the large altitude changes (from 3800 to 1000 metres).
- Glacial routes departing from Aiguille du Midi, Vallée Blanche and Envers du Plan or from Grands Montets to Glacier d’Argentiere.
- Descents of different “corridors” of the Tour of Switzerland and Vallorcine.
- Freeride initiation at the Brevent, the off-piste of Courmayeur, St Gervais Megeve, Verbier…
FREERIDE SKIING
It’s just a question of engagement (slope, speed, wide turns, jumps… ) and sometimes a bit of approach. A new way of skiing thanks to upgraded equipment.
The spots are basically the same as off-piste but my favourite is the Brevent.
SKI-TOURING
Classic, from the introductory race to the big dribbling. Indeed, there are many possibilities in the Chamonix Valley (Mont Blanc, Aiguilles Rouges, Switzerland, Italy).
You can hike for the pleasure of being in the mountains, discover and contemplate… And also to get good snow on beautiful slopes! To each their desires…
Some examples of the most classical hikes:
- Crochues pass, Berard pass and descent to Vallorcine starting from the Index.
- Pointe de Bron starting from the chairlift of Balme, descent to Trient (Switzerland).
- Aiguille d’Argentière or Tour Noir pass from Grands Montets or Argentière refuge.
- At the heart of the massif from Aiguille du Midi, Entrève pass, Brèche Puiseux.
HELISKI & HELIBOARDING
In Switzerland, an hour from Chamonix, or in Courmayeur in Italy just behind the tunnel, descent of sumptuous peaks over 3000 metres as the Petit Combin, the Aiguille des Glaciers …
Please send me a request if one or more days in this magnificent massif interest you, whether you are skiing or snowboarding / splitboarding. I’d be happy to guide you there and to show you my secret places.
And if you are looking for a trip exclusively for splitboarders, I also offer this option!
