Le Devoluy

Join a certified guide in the 5eme Element team on this fun and rewarding 4-day ski touring expedition in Le Devoluy, France, where you will learn advanced ski techniques designed to increase your confidence and skill, all in one of the prettiest and most picturesque regions of Europe.

4 Days

* Learn advanced ski touring techniques to take your ability to the next level!

* Ski amongst some of the best and most underrated scenery in France

* Stay in a gorgeous and beautiful converted farmhouse cottage

I invite you to join one of the certified guides in my team on this exciting and challenging 4-day ski touring course, where we will teach some of the more advanced skills and techniques required to master the art of ski touring, all away from the crowds and amongst the natural beauty and awe-inspiring scenery of the delightful area of Le Devoluy, France.

Le Devoluy is located in Southeastern France, and is a veritable wonderland for skiers and outdoor activity enthusiasts alike. Majestic snow-capped peaks tower over the vast and open valleys and alpine forests below, and the huge natural cavities of limestone rock dig in to the massif are a truly unique spectacle.

We meet on the afternoon of the first day at the cottage we will be staying at, where relevant safety information and equipment will be dispensed. We will then head out skiing that same afternoon to test out our equipment, and learn some of the basic techniques to help you over the subsequent 3 days.

Over the following few days we will head out each morning and ski to our hearts content, as we aim to give you the confidence and dexterity to be able to easily utilize the equipment and incrementally progress as the trip goes on, all whilst taking in the sweeping panoramic views and breath-taking scenery around us.

Each night we will be recharging in a restored and converted farmhouse cottage, where we can relax in front of a fireplace and reminisce about our day.

We finish on the afternoon of the 4th day, hopefully having whetted your appetite for more challenging and equally as fun ski touring.

What people are saying about -Caroline

Great experience, but definitely favored toward elite runners. One of our guides, JC, was amazing. He cared about every runner. The other guide seemed only to care for the elites (and himself). On top of Col des Montets, I asked if we had time to put on warm layers. The guide said "of course," but then quickly proceeded to run off with the entire group while I stood bare and freezing with my gear unpacked. Total lack of consideration for the well-being of his runners. Otherwise a great tour.

Well organized tour of the TDS course. Amazing views await even if you’re not planning to run the race
