Description

The northern area of Finland is famous for its arctic nature and amazing natural phenomena. Join me on this program and discover Lapland while you enjoy snowshoeing through the gorgeous Mount Kätka.

Situated in Lapland, the northernmost region in Finland, Mount Kätka is a hill that offers a peaceful natural environment with incredible views. It has an altitude of 504 meters and, due to its fantastic terrain, it’s a great spot to enjoy snowshoeing.

One of the highlights of this program will be the descent. On this section, we’ll be able to enjoy the amazing powder snow at its best. Also, to take part of this experience you will need to learn about the local history and culture. While snowshoeing, we’ll talk about the local people’s stories and life.

Please, keep in mind that this program is aimed at advanced participants with an excellent level of fitness.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge.
