Join us on yet another amazing trek in Bhutan, the Druk Path Trek. Leading on an ancient route through a stunning landscape of pine forests, pristine lakes, and high ridges, it connects the valleys of Paro and Thimpu. The trail takes us through stunning rhododendron forests and yak pastures offering beautiful vistas of ancient lhakhangs and dzongs as you hike.
The 7-day trek is easy as it covers short distances from one campsite to another. We’ll begin from the beautiful valley of Paro, hiking past lush pine forests to reach Jili Dzong. This fortress provides stunning views of Mount Jumolhari to the north.
For the next few days, we’ll continue on a picturesque trail to cross several mountain passes. We’ll come across Jimiling lake, whose crystal clear water houses gigantic freshwater trouts. Walking past yak herder’s camp and beautiful mountain lakes you’ll enjoy exceptional views of the mountains.
The route involves crossing the villages of Jangchulakha and Jimelang Tsho until we reach the Phadjoding Monastery.
Phadjoding offers a gorgeous spectacle of Mt. Gangkar Puensum, the highest mountain in the world which has not been scaled yet, and several other Himalayan peaks. Finally, we’ll descend through dense pine forest to reach the capital city of Thimpu, marking the end of this remarkable trip.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
