What’s a turbine test day? you might ask. And if you like rafting, you will like the answer. The Kennebec River is known for its rapids. It is also where the Harris Station Dam is located. The operators of this dam test the electricity generating turbines of Brookfield Renewable Power, and the result is huge whitewater waves. On this turbine test day in Kennebec River in Maine, we will go on an exhilarating whitewater adventure and enjoy up to 8,000 CFS water flows!

Our rafting day will begin early in the morning. We will meet up for an equipment check, safety instructions and a quick tour briefing. Then, we will head out to the Kennebec River for some non-stop action during the day. You can expect to have some whitewater fun and also to enjoy the stunning scenery and wildlife. The Kennebec region is known for its eagles, mooses and more!

This trip is for participants aged 14 and older. It is challenging and demanding, so you need to be physically fit. We will of course be there at all times to guide you and help you out on your whitewater rafting adventure!

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome.
