The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, located only 30 minutes from Vegas, is a popular hiking destination due to its stunning desert scenery and variety of hiking trails.

If you’re looking for a strenuous hike with amazing views, Turtlehead Peak is for you. It’s a five mile hike with about 2,000 feet of elevation gain, and some scrambling over rocks is required.

All your effort pays off when you’re enjoying the incredible views at the top of the peak. You can admire the other nearby mountains, the park’s beautiful landscapes, and even the city of Las Vegas which is visible from Turtlehead Peak.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
