In the Slovak Paradise National Park there is a marvelous via ferrata route. It was closed for 40 years but it is now available again! Let me take you there for a day and discover this preserved route.
The Kysel via ferrata reopened recently after 40 years. It was closed due to a fire, and now it is finally apt for people to traverse it again, with nature in good conditions. We will progress using the ladders, chains and bridges, secured with harness and wires. The natural setting is simply beautiful!
We will meet in Čingov, one of the main centers of the Slovak Paradise, located in the northern part of the Park. The environment in Čingov is extremely pleasant, and you can look for accommodation there. An option to get there is taking a bus from Spisska Nova Ves.
I particularly like guiding my friends and clients in this via ferrata because:
– The untouched nature is stunning
– It has been closed for 40 years!
– It is located in the beautiful National Park of the Slovak Paradise.
Want to spend a fun day of via ferrata in the Slovak Paradise? Then please send me a request and let’s start planning! And for a great trek in the Suchá Belá gorge of the National Park, check out this other program!

Enjoyed my day with Peter, who went out of his way to make the trip enjoyable and fun. Environment is stunning. If you might be insecure about the via ferrata: no worries. Easy, not very technical. Was happy to have Peter with me though, the track was not very obvious for me as we had to climb through the gorge, over fallen trees. Totally safe, just unexpected. Just bring a fair amount of stamina and you’ll love this track
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
