In this program I propose an ambitious and fascinating plan to go rock climbing in Catalonia, covering some of the most iconic walls in between Barcelona and the Pyrenees (province of Lleida).
The idea is to climb 5 walls, multi-pitch, of different kind of rock, and different kind of levels. We can also decide on each rock if going for an easier or tougher route, according to the level of the climbers and how we are feeling. In all of these spots we have 200-300 meters routes.
Starting from Barcelona, each spot is separated by 1 or 2 hours drive. We will do one wall every day, staying in route refuges or hostels (several options available, that I can arrange according to what the clients require), taking some day to rest or do some sport climbing, before going back to Barcelona from Cavallers, the furthest point. The drive back takes around 4 hours.
The first destination is Montserrat, an hour away from Barcelona, an island of small conglomerate needles for multi-pitch climbing. After that we will head to Vilanova de Meia, which is a region of calcareous (limestone) rock. The third spot is Terradets, and the forth is Collegats, which is big conglomerate rock. The last climb will be already deep into the Pyrenees, in Cavallers, in Aigüestortes National Park. The rock here is granite.
In between some of the more demanding climbs we can take a day to rest, do some rock climbing, or just enjoy some of the beautiful landscapes that will be surrounding us in any of these spots.
Rock climbing in Catalonia can be done all year round, so the same applies for this program. The only one of the five walls that can’t be climbed in winter is Cavalliers, but we can do instead another climb lower in the region.
I can take up to 2 climbers with me, and I will provide all the technical equipment needed. And I also offer the possibility of assisting climbers who want to do autonomous climbs. So I’ll provide the equipment, take you around to these places, and assist in the logistics and everything that’s necessary.

The story begins when your parents put you the skis when you are still wearing diapers, when you discover every summer the lakes of the Pyrenees, and after that you start going for the summits. When climbing and the feeling of freedom that comes with it gets you hooked, and there's nothing you can do about it.
It continues when you choose your career following the name: Technical Mountain Engineering, in Lleida, close to the Pyrenees, and you start working as a ski instructor during weekends. And year after year, trip after trip, run after run, you start getting together with young mountaineers, and closer to the formation as a mountain guide.
Expeditions, trips, some award and the constant formation and evolution are what built this long journey, which allows me to share the world that I love with others. And thanks to the works as a guide I can enjoy everything: the great moments that the mountain gave me, in the snow, rock or ice, and above all the moving feeling of realizing how small we are in the immensity of the summits.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
