The Valley of the Meuse River is located in the south of Belgium, between the cities of Dinant and Namur, in a region known as Wallonia. There are many rocky hills to explore and via ferratas are a great way to do it! If you haven’t heard about them before, picture them as protected climbing routes that may (or not) include suspension bridges, zip lines, climbing a vertical wall and abseiling to get down. There are different levels of via ferrata, the easy/intermediate ones are usually safe for children too, so this could be a great family activity. A guide will ensure your safety along the climb and teach you the basic techniques and use of equipment. Explore-Share only promotes trips led by certified mountain guides.

We had a fantastic 1/2 day with Chris. He is a very patient and experienced guide. Sadly we were unable to complete Marche Les Dames as we were unable to access the Military base as the correct permissions had not been received. However, Chris took us to Les Grande Malades. It proved very challenging on the fear factor initially, however we all made it in the end! It was a great start to our holiday. Thanks Chris!

We hadden een prachtige dag! Christophe was een fantastische gids die ons wist gerust te stellen tijdens de toch-niet-zo-gemakkelijke via ferrata. Het was een heel fijn avontuur, met mooie foto's ter herinnering.

Not pont à lesse but grands malades. Challenging and fun.
