Situated a little to the west of Chamonix, Combloux offers a plethora of excellent ski touring options!

Over the course of our 1+ day trip, we will explore the “Le Plan de Dames” resort area, which sits just to the west of the town.

We will head out onto the slopes right away in order to get the most of the day. Depending on our starting point, we may start out by following the path in front of the Alpen Valley Hotel.

From here, we may pass by Le Chalet de la Vieille, before climbing into the forest until we reach the top of the Beauregard chairlift. We will then head back into the forest up to a little clearing, which leads us to the top of La Ravine chairlift.

After crossing the slope, we once again head back into the forest to reach the top of Pertuis chairlift. From here, we will have stunning panoramic views out on the Aravis, the Fiz and the Mont Blanc massif.

Once we’ve finished taking in the view, we head back down, plunging into the trees and enjoying a thrilling run back down toward Combloux.

Ski touring in Combloux, Haute Savoie: “Le Plan des Dames”

Situated slightly west of Chamonix and the iconic Mont Blanc, Combloux is a small resort town that boasts plenty of excellent ski touring!

Join us for a fun and scenic 1+ day skiing experience on La Crève-Coeur and enjoy some of the best powder and finest scenery in all of France.

The route lasts for 5.8 kilometers and includes a 784-meter ascent, which requires a relatively good level of physical fitness to accomplish.

After taking a lift from the Bouchet car park, we will head through a forest, enjoying the stark contrast of green coniferous trees and the white snow, as we go.

Once out of the forest, we will head steadily upwards until we reach the Plaine Joux plateau before heading up to the La Croix panoramic viewpoint. From here, there is a bit more ascending before we reach the summit.

We will enjoy some astoundingly beautiful panoramic vistas, including brilliant views out toward Mont Blanc, before heading back down one of the various routes back to where we started.
