**I invite you to 1-day guided freeride ski tour in Zugspitze, exploring some unique spots of the best ski resort in Germany.**  

At 2962 m, **Zugspitze** is the highest peak in the country. During this journey, you’ll enjoy an amazing descent from this mountain down to the small valley of **Ehrwald.** We will be skinning for 150 meters, skiing down 2000 meters and abseiling for 60 meters.

This off-piste skiing journey requires to be able to ski safely in a 40° steep terrain. Because of that, it is a great challenge for experienced skiers.

There are many reasons that make Zugspitze a top winter destination. Because it offers slopes of all levels of difficulty, it’s ideal for beginners, families and more experienced skiers.

Besides, you can easily reach the top of this mountain by using the cable car, and admire **stunning 360° views of almost 400 peaks**. In fact, you have the unusual privilege of seeing peaks from four different countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

Indeed, the border between Germany and Austria goes exactly over the mountain.

**I invite you to an exciting adventure in the mountains of Germany and Austria! Join me for a 1-day guided ski tour in the best peaks of Karwendel and the Lechtal Alps.**

A large part of the **Karwendel mountains** belong to the **Tyrol** federal state, in **Austria.** However, a small part lies on the **Bavarian region**, in **Germany**. This mountain chain has many peaks between 1800 and 2700 m.

The area offers many possibilities for skiers. It has around 850 kilometers of slopes, which are ideal for families and beginners who want to improve their skills.

The **Lechtal Alps** are a group of mountains in the Austrian states of **Tyrol** and **Vorarlberg.** In fact, they are near the South border of this country and **Germany.**

This region has many ski resorts. It also has almost 400 km of slopes for all kinds of snow lovers.

During this trip, we’ll meet early in the morning and make on average **2-4 hours ascent, up to 1000 m**, and later, enjoy some great ski descents.

**Come along and join me on this 2 day introductory ski tour in Bad Hindelang!**

Located in the German State of Bavaria, Bad Hindelang is the ideal place to practice this exciting activity for the first time. Thanks to its heavy snowfalls, stunning powder slopes and wide variety of ski touring levels this place is a winter sports paradise.

This 2-day course provides an introduction to ski touring. In addition to climbing techniques with skins and skiing in deep snow, you will learn avalanche search techniques. Consequently, you will learn how to predict dangerous avalanche situations. Furthermore, I’ll also teach you some secret tips and tricks that will be essential for your improvement on some simple summit ascents and descents.

Although this is an introductory course and no experience is required, all participants must have great physical condition. Because each day we’ll ascend approximately 600 meters in 3 hours, a good fitness level is important. Of course, I will be there at all times to help and guide you.

Introductory ski tour in Bad Hindelang, 2 days

Making turns in the **Kleinwalsertal** mountains in Austria is a nice experience for backcountry ski lovers. However, to have a safe adventure it’s mandatory to know how to plan a ski tour and how to manage avalanche risks.

This **4-day ski touring course** in Kleinwalsertal, also known as the Walser Valley, offers the necessary tools to safely enjoy a winter program in these mountains.

The course includes theory classes on avalanche and itinerary planning as well as practical exercises to put into action what you have learned. We will also do a simulation to learn how to proceed in an avalanche accident.

This course is suitable for **beginner skiers or snowboarders** fit enough to ascend mountain slopes for 3-4 hours each day. Sometimes it may be necessary to walk with climbing skins.

We will meet at 9 AM in Mittelberg. After the welcome meeting and an introduction of the program, we will check our equipment and take the cable car to Walmedningerhorn. Then I will teach you some basic techniques on rescue and avalanche management using an avalanche transceiver. Dinner and lodging in the valley.

We will start with a trek of 3-4 hours in the Kleinwalsertal mountains. There we will learn the basic techniques of ascent and descent with skis. In the afternoon, we will review some aspects of avalanche rescue in the event that a colleague has an accident. I will also teach you how to plan ski tours. In fact, we will plan our itinerary for the next day together. Dinner and lodging in the valley.

Avalanche rescue in Kleinwalsertal

Today we will go to another summit located in Germany very close to the Austrian border, in Allgäu. For that, we must ascend for about 4-5 hours. Both in the ascent and in the descent, we will put into practice our recently learned theoretical knowledge. We will evaluate the slopes around, make decisions about the tactics and carry out a new rescue simulation. At the end of the day we will plan our last ski tour. Dinner and lodging in the valley.

More training in Allgäu

Our final training will take us 5 hours. We will review all the information learned in these 4 days. If necessary, we will go over those topics that have not been clear and we will practice them again. Finally, at 3 PM we will go back to the starting point to return the gear and say goodbye.
