Description

I invite you to an exciting adventure in the mountains of Germany and Austria! Join me for a 1-day guided ski tour in the best peaks of Karwendel and the Lechtal Alps.

A large part of the Karwendel mountains belong to the Tyrol federal state, in Austria. However, a small part lies on the Bavarian region, in Germany. This mountain chain has many peaks between 1800 and 2700 m.

The area offers many possibilities for skiers. It has around 850 kilometers of slopes, which are ideal for families and beginners who want to improve their skills.

The Lechtal Alps are a group of mountains in the Austrian states of Tyrol and Vorarlberg. In fact, they are near the South border of this country and Germany.

This region has many ski resorts. It also has almost 400 km of slopes for all kinds of snow lovers.

During this trip, we’ll meet early in the morning and make on average 2-4 hours ascent, up to 1000 m, and later, enjoy some great ski descents.

If you are planning a trip to this area, you can contact me for a amazing ski touring journey! I will be glad to show you the best spots around Karwendel and also in the Lechtal Alps.

About the guide

My passion for nature and the mountains led me to become a mountain guide. I started my career as a pilot and, for a while, dedicated my life to university. However, over the years, my love for the mountains increased.

Since then, I have been working as a mountain guide, taking my clients on great ski and climbing adventures. I guide around my country and also around Europe: Spain, Italy, France, England, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Norway. I sometimes also go to Chile, Canada, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.

As an IFMGA certified mountain guide, it is a pleasure for me to guide people from all over the world to these amazing destinations. My main objective is to have you enjoy a great time in the mountains while keeping you safe.

I invite you to have a look at the mountain programs and tours I propose. In the case you want to join one of them and if I'm not available, one of my colleagues will guide you.

Rudi is an experienced mountaineer with a great deal of knowledge about the area and trails available. He coordinated closely with me to determine my skill level and objective for the hike. It was an absolutely terrific day.

Explore-Share took advantage of my inexperience. I had asked for a beginner level trip, instead, they recommended me a rather advanced trip. Neither Explore-Share nor the guide were forthcoming with information until the very last moment. The guide sold my participation to another outfit about a week before the trip. Neither Explore-Share neither the guide are trustworthy and can be relied upon in making arrangements.

Rudi was awesome. Very knowledgable and gave me a lot of climbing pointers for via ferrata. Also, super helpful with recommending other great sites in Austria and Germany. I hope to climb with him again when I’m back in central Europe.

I recently climbed the Zugspitze with you and I really enjoyed it. The guide was through Rudi who at the time could not climb but got me another guide, Toni from Garmisch. He was excellent and I really enjoyed the day. I would like to say a big thanks to Rudi and Toni and Lupe.

I loved my excursion! Rudi is a great guide who has been guiding for over a decade and has a lot of experience--yet was incredibly patient with me as more of a novice climber. For purposes of this tour, Rudi is also from the area and had a lot of local insights. Thanks for the great experience, Rudi and explore-share :-)

Hi Everyone I don't have much experience but I thought it was a great experience. The weather let us down a bit but everything else was first class in particular our guide. That, however, was Gudrun Schweikert not Rudi because he injured his knee. She was absolutely terrific. I can only highly recommend her. Kind regards; Uwe

Guide was Reini. He guided us at just the perfect speed to be back in 5 hours at the alpspitzbahn top station. Highly recommended. Great experience - first via ferrata!

Was a great tour! We did Geierwand Klettersteig instead of Alpspitze due to snowy conditions, and guide was Moritz Filger.
