Croacia RockClimbing Tour

**Rock climbing in Paklenica offers more than 450 routes for all levels. Join me for a unique adventure!**

In this amazing destination of the Croatian coast you can find from **single pitch climbing routes** (near the parking spots) to **350 m high multi-pitch climbs** in the biggest and most famous wall of the area called **Aniča Kuk.** All of them, on excellent limestone.

There are several routes of all difficulty levels so it is suitable for everyone, from absolute beginners to more experience climbers.

We can organize a 2 to 4 days climbing trip and I can help you choose the best climbing routes for you according to your experience and wishes.

**If you are a beginner you’ll receive a basic training on your climbing skills** (anchors, knots, belay, rappelling…) as well as your climbing technique so that we can move safe during a climb.  Within the next few days, we’ll climb multi-pitch routes suitable for your experience and wishes.

Here are some of the routes I recommend:

##### **Intermediate climbs for max 4 people**

*   **Severno rebro:** 170 m, 4b
    
*   **Danaja:** 100 m 5b
    
*   **Nosorog:** 150 m 4b
    

You don’t need previous experience to climb these routes.

##### **Sustained climbs for max 2 people**

*   **Brid za veliki čekić route:** 280 m 5 b. A beautiful introduction to Paklenica big wall climbing.
    
*   **Mosaraški route:** 350 m 5 c. The first part of the famous Paklenica trilogy in Aniča Kuk.
    
*   **Kamasutra route:** 150 m 5 b. Interesting route on grooves and cracks.
    

Some previous experience is required.

This incredible playground for climbers is inside **Paklenica National Park.** Because of that, you can mix things up during your trip there by adding activities like hiking, mountain biking or swimming in the **Adriatic sea.**

I really like travelling to Paklenica during Autumn and Spring. I also think it’s a **great holiday destination** for a **family trip.**

**Join me on this 5-day adventure and discover why rock climbing in Paklenica is the ultimate paradise for multipitch climbers round the globe.**

Off the coast of **Croatia**, in the **Velebit Mountains,** lies **Paklenica National Park.** The park has around 150 km of hiking trails, offering many attractive opportunities for outdoor lovers.

But the real highlight of this place is a **big limestone gorge** also called Paklenica. If you are a climber this name will probably sound popular to you, as this is considered as one of the **best climbing spots in Croatia.**

I’ve been climbing all around the world and I have to say that Paklenica is one of the best climbing areas I came across so far.

It has a fantastic combination of mild Adriatic climate, an scenic seacoast and above all, amazing quality rock climbing! Furthermore, you can also find a delicious local cuisine, wine and friendly people.

During this course, we’ll focus on **long rock routes of all grades**. We’ll go from scrambling up some scenic rock ridges to climb harder, more ambitious routes in a vertical wall.

You’ll learn all the necessary topics for safe multipitch rock climbing, including ropework, rappelling and belays.

We’ll visit several spots, but the jewel will be the north face of **Anica kuk,** an impressive 350 meters high wall. We may also decide to climb lower but still beautiful routes in nearby walls instead.

Besides, we’ll visit **Dabarski kukovi,** or even go further down the coast towards **Split.** All the time, we’ll be searching for the best quality climbing.

Rock climbing in Paklenica, Croatia

**Discover Paklenica National Park, a beautiful natural area in Croatia, in this 1-week adventure full of outdoor activities.**

Lying at the south of the **Velebit mountains,** this natural area is a mix of pine forests, caves, gorges and rivers. There are also two canyons: **Velika Paklenica** (big) and **Mala Paklenica** (small).

But the highlight is definitely **Paklenica Gorge.** In fact, this is one of the most important climbing spots in Croatia. From short sport climbing routes to big walls with routes up to 350 m height, you'll find all the options!

##### Here are some of the activities we can do on this trip:

*   Sport climbing (up to grades 4 a to 6 c) in the gorge. 
    
*   Hiking and via ferrata in **Anica Kuk.** From the top, we'll enjoy the wonderful view of the Adriatic Sea and the Velebit peaks.
    
*   A 13 kilometer hike from one canyon to another.
    
*   Kayaking or rafting in the **Zrmanja canyon.**
    
*   Via ferrata in **Vaganec adrenaline park.**
    
*   Climbing multi-pitch routes and abseiling in **Tulove grede,** a rock formation with fantastic pillars, towers and spires.

Sport climbing in the Paklenica Gorge. You’ll be able to climb routes graded 4a to 6c.

We’ll ascend the great summit of Anića Kuk by trail and a via ferrata. You will enjoy beautiful scenery composed of the Velebit peaks on one side and the Adriatic Sea on the other. We’ll descend a different side of the mountain, passing under its imposing north face on the way down.  You can climb sport climbing routes on the way back.

We’ll walk from the canyon of Velika Paklenica to the canyon of Mala Paklenica (13 km).

We’ll visit the canyon of the river Zrmanja, where we can enjoy rafting or kayaking.

Zrmanja Canyon

The rock formations of Velebit are perfect for adrenaline parks. One such park, which is very close to Starigrad, is the Vaganec adrenaline park. With its hanging bridges and aerial runways, it offers plenty of adrenaline-filled adventures.

Via Ferrata

Tulove grede are composed of fantastic rock spires, needles, towers and pillars. The famous movies about Winnetou were filmed here. We will climb multi pitch routes, from which we’ll make abseil descents.
