The Kingdom of Morocco is located in the far west of North Africa. The city of Rabat is the capital and the famous Casablanca is the largest city in the country. It is located just an hour’s ride on ferry from Spain. Morocco is bordered from the south by Mauritania and from the east by Algeria. This country of ancient Islamic traditions offers stunning scenery and unique locations, from the Mediterranean coast, to four different mountain ranges and the endless sands of the mythical Sahara desert.
The summer can be a little too hot in Morocco, with temperatures rising over 35⁰C even in the mountains, and around 40º around Marrakesh, although at night temperatures are cooler. Winter is cold and in the mountains there is snow above 1500 meters.
Arabic, Berber and French are the spoken languages. You can also easily find people fluent in English, specially in the urban areas.
