Aneto (3,404 m) is the highest peak in the Pyrenees and one of the most coveted summits for mountaineers. With a certified high-mountain guide, you can take on this epic 1-day ascent, which involves a significant 1,500 meters of elevation gain over 14 kilometers (round trip). The route takes you through varied and stunning terrain, including glaciers and rocky ridges, with the iconic Paso de Mahoma (Homo’s Pass) being one of the key challenges. Your guide will help ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience, selecting the optimal route depending on conditions. The trip takes 10-12 hours and requires a high level of physical fitness.

Routes for the Aneto Ascent (1 Day): There are several routes that allow for the ascent of Aneto in one day, all with similar elevation gain and time. Depending on the conditions, we will select the route that is safest and in the best state to ensure a successful summit. These routes include:

  • Normal Route via Refugio de la Renclusa and Portillon Superior: The most commonly used route in winter and spring, on the northern face of Aneto.
  • Ibón del Salterillo Route: Typically used in summer, this route avoids the glacier when the ice begins to show. It’s also on the northern face.
  • Ibones de Coronas Route: This route runs along the southern face and joins the normal route after the Collado de Coronas.

These three routes are the most common, though other options exist depending on the conditions.

For the ultimate challenge and alpine experience, book your 1-day Aneto ascent now and immerse yourself in one of the most coveted climbs in the Pyrenees!
